Browns Fans Express Strong Words for Jimmy Haslam (Video)

CLEVELAND, Ohio – After a loss Sunday to the Cincinnati Bengals that dropped the Browns’ record to 1-6, fans at Huntington Bank Stadium had strong words for owner Jimmy Haslam.

“Come on Jimmy, everyone blames Deshaun (Watson), but it’s more than just Deshaun. Someone else needs the blame. I think it’s Jimmy and Andrew Berry,” one fan told cleveland.com after the game.

“Are you saying yours is a working class town? Do you think what you do in this stadium is worth it? I’m tired of it!” one fan shouted. At the same time, another fan shouted: “Don’t move!”

Browns fans had mixed reviews about the team owners’ plans to move the team to Brook Park.

“The Browns have to stay here. We don’t need a dome, keep it here!”

Another fan replied: “Jimmy, big fan of moving the Browns to Brook Park. I think it’s better.”

However, there was no confusion about fans’ feelings about the Watson experiment.

“Jimmy Haslam, we are 100% Browns fans, but let go of Deshaun Watson. We don’t need him,” said one.

“Deshaun, recover. Then go somewhere else. “Don’t come back here,” one fan quipped.

A fan reflected on the reaction of Browns fans to Watson as he was carried off the field after suffering a serious injury. “I am very disappointed with the fans. When Deshaun went down, everyone cheered. He probably lost his career. Obviously he did some pretty messed up things, but you don’t celebrate that.”
