Studio Ghibli releases new mug cups featuring characters from anime films

Share a drink with some of the studio’s most famous faces.

Studio Ghibli always has its finger on the pulse of what customers want, not only in terms of anime films but also in the merchandise it produces. Now the studio is catering to our needs again, this time with a new selection Thermo cups featuring characters from some of our most popular films.

Ghibli has previously released a range of thermal mugs designed for travel and outdoor use. However, now the cups have been revised and changes have been made to the cups Design of handle, lid, color and shape. Although they can be used all year round, they are particularly practical in the colder months as the vacuum insulated double-walled structure helps drinks and soups stay nice and hot for long periods.

There are four cups to choose from with the following motifs: Totoro out of My neighbor Totoro in the “Raindrops“Design and Kiki out of Kiki’s delivery service in the “Kiki’s profile” Design.

With these characters by your side, you will never be lonely on your travels. Starting October 19, they will be available at Donguri Kyowakoku stores and online, priced at 4,620 yen (US$30.80) each. The popular retail chain offers plenty of ways to stay warm with Ghibli in the colder months ahead. Totoro and Jiji blankets as well as Totoro and Calcifer blanket socks are also available.
