Blake Lively models this fall color trend at the NYC Wine & Food Festival

Blake Lively brought one of fall’s hottest colors to the New York City Wine and Food Festival on Friday. The actress hosted an event sponsored by her alcohol brand Betty Booze.

Lively wore a moss-colored corded lace halter dress from Michael Kors’ Spring 2025 collection, which debuted during New York Fashion Week in September. The “It Ends With Us” star wore a matching oversized cardigan, tortoiseshell statement earrings, a quilted Chanel flap bag, and Christian Louboutin thigh-high boots.

Lively wore her blonde locks in waves while her makeup consisted of beige eyeshadow, rosy blush and a pink lip.

Earlier this month, Lively went on a double date with her husband Ryan Reynolds as well as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Lively wore a full vintage look by Paola Frani, which included a maroon long-sleeved dress with crochet details and matching tights. She accessorized with matching Valentino lace-up boots and a tweed Chanel handbag.

Reynolds, on the other hand, wore a white shirt jacket with an embroidered collar, navy blue pants and brown suede ankle boots.

“People want something that feels special but that you can wear anytime,” Michael Kors told WWD about his latest collection.

The designer’s mood board included snapshots of romantic Mediterranean beaches, stills from the Netflix series “Ripley,” and 1990s black-and-white photos of seductive supermodels by Herb Ritts, all in his dark, earthy palette of black, ecru, hemp, Peanut, cactus green, maritime and ice blue.

The retellings of The Talented Mr. Ripley, from the original 1955 Patricia Highsmith novel to the 1999 Gwyneth Paltrow-Jude Law film to today’s streaming version, got Kors thinking about romance of the 1950s with the sensual, streamlined simplicity of the 1990s and today’s longing for something joyful without it being a cheap thrill.

“Nothing is flat, everything has structure or dimension,” Kors added, pointing to brown slide sandals, bucket bags and floppy hats with playful fringes and a stunning black raffia “fur” jacket.

According to Pantone’s Color Trend Report, emerald, chartreuse and olive tones are on the rise this season. At New York Fashion Week in February, leafy tones like fern, aventurine and golden palm are among the three most popular colors favored by designers.
