The San Francisco 49ers have announced that wide receiver Deebo Samuel is suffering from an illness, but he is expected to play in their Week 7 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 49ers are already without wide receiver Jauan Jennings, who is out for the game. On Saturday, the team activated rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall from the Non-Football Injury (NFI) list. Pearsall will make his NFL debut just seven weeks after he was shot in the chest during a robbery in San Francisco.

This season, Samuel has recorded 20 catches for 335 yards and one touchdown. He also has 19 carries for 51 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.

San Francisco is ahead by 2.5 points before kickoff.
