FIRST WEATHER WARNING: Enjoy the sun!

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) – An incredible weekend weather-wise will continue into the start of the work week. Temperatures Sunday afternoon will remain in the high 60s and low 70s before cooling to the low 40s overnight. The perfect terrace weather lasts until the evening!

DISCUSSION:

A sunny start to the work week is forecast, with dense fog expected for Monday’s morning commute. As the week begins, nighttime temperatures will drop to the low 50s and mid 40s. Afternoon highs will rise into the mid 70s and possibly into the high 70s in areas with less cloud cover. A cold front will move through eastern Kentucky Wednesday through Thursday, bringing afternoon highs into the mid-60s and overnight lows back into the high 30s. Sunny weather is also forecast for the coming weekend with temperatures in the low to mid 70s.

LOOKING AHEAD:

A further above-average result is forecast for the end of October. Until the beginning of November, temperatures of almost ten degrees above average are possible. October has been unusually dry, with just over 2mm of rain falling so far this month. On average, more than five centimeters of rain falls at this time of month. With no rain in the forecast, an increase in drought conditions is possible.
