The warming trend appears to be continuing this week

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Temperatures will rise back above normal in the coming days. At the end of the weekend we still have nice weather. That’s good news for local events like Boo at the Zoo and Feast on the Levee. Morning low temperatures will remain near normal through midweek, but daytime high temperatures will be several degrees above normal throughout the work/school week. While we don’t have 90° degrees in the forecast, the mid and upper 80s are still way too warm for late October.

FIRST ALARM PREDICTION: Sunday October 20th(WAFB)

The high pressure remains locally under control. This keeps the weather forecast warm and dry. Northerly winds will continue to bring low humidity and dry conditions. Fire weather concerns remain as we continue to experience mild drought conditions. Outside our region of southwest and northern Louisiana, drought conditions are more severe.
