Figure skating fans won’t want to miss Sunday’s men’s free program as part of Skate America 2024.

The event is the first of the 2024-25 ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix, so the field is wide open for the new season.

This weekend’s event will take place at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas.

How to Watch Skate America – Men’s Singles Free Program

Last year, Ilian Malinin of the United States won the gold medal in the event, while France’s Kevin Aymoz came second and Japan’s Shun Sato third. Sato is not in the field this year, but the other two are and will look to repeat.

Malinin is one of three Team USA skaters in men’s singles, along with Lucas Broussard and Maxim Naumov.

Broussard is an 18-year-old competing at Skate America for the first time. He won this year’s Cranberry Cup.

Malinin is a 19-year-old figure skater who already won gold at the world championships in Montreal this year and won the last two U.S. championships and the Grand Prix final last season.

Naumov is a 23-year-old who finished fourth at the last two U.S. Championships. He is the clear underdog of the US contingent at this event.
