Bail forfeited and arrest warrant issued for Rochester man

ROCHESTER, MN (KROC-AM News) – An arrest warrant has been issued for a Rochester man who had his bond revoked for failing to appear at a required hearing in Olmsted County Court last week.

36-year-old Shueb Abshir Noor was arrested last April after Rochester police were called to an apartment complex in southeast Rochester to investigate a report of an altercation involving a firearm. When officers arrived, they met a man who told them that he was walking his daughter home from school when he was attacked by three men who were having problems with the music he was listening to.

The criminal complaint in the case states that the victim was beaten by the men and then chased by them as he and his daughter fled to their apartment. The victim told police his attackers kicked and banged on the door, and when he briefly opened it, Noor pointed a black and gold handgun at him.

The lawsuit states that officers located the three men at another apartment in the complex, where Noor and the other two were arrested. According to the court document, a search warrant was executed which resulted in the discovery of a black and gold handgun and a magazine in a closet. The complaint also states that Noor was found in possession of nearly 500 fentanyl pills.

He is charged with second-degree drug trafficking, second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and second-degree rioting with a dangerous weapon.

His conditional bail, set at $25,000, was forfeited after he failed to appear in court.
