NA spokesman bans recording mobile videos from press gallery

National Assembly (NA) Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has banned mobile video recording from the press gallery ahead of an important session of the House of Representatives.

According to the decision of the NA spokesman, recording videos on the press premises with mobile phones was prohibited.

During today’s session, the speaker instructed journalists and said: “Please do not make mobile videos from the press gallery.”

Sessions of the Senate and National Assembly will continue today at Parliament House Islamabad.

The House of Lords meets at 3 p.m., while the House of Commons resumes its sessions at 6 p.m.

After a series of meetings at Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence in Islamabad and delayed start of National Assembly (NA) and Senate sessions, the constitutional amendments could not be tabled in Parliament as the matter is postponed to Sunday (today).

Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence was the center of attention throughout Saturday as it was visited by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, leaders of various political parties including Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Advocate Gohar Ali Khan and Balochistan National Party (Mengal) Chairman Akhtar Mengal were visited.

The National Assembly (NA) session, which began after hours of delay, lasted a few minutes, while the Senate session began with a delay of about three hours from the scheduled time due to the absence of some government MPs.
