The new livery features a striking blue gradient across the fuselage, punctuated by the NBA logo. The distinctive Emirates lettering has changed from the unique gold font to red and appears alongside an illustration of a basketball bouncing between the NBA and Emirates logos. The new look of the hull is complemented by bright red hoods decorated with the distinctive white calligraphy that forms the Emirates logo.

The Emirates NBA A380’s livery was completely repainted as part of an extensive project that included design, painting, production and installation to bring the bespoke aircraft to life. The process, which was carried out entirely in-house by Emirates Engineering Aircraft Appearance Center teams, took 24 days, including stripping, painting and graphics application.

From November 1 to December 17, customers can experience NBA-inspired products and services on board on flights to and from 14 points in the US and Canada to coincide with the Emirates NBA Cup. Emirates’ NBA-themed livery is one of just four aircraft in the airline’s fleet with fully bespoke designs from nose to tail. Passengers in each cabin will board to see the aircraft, which will sport co-branded headrests, be served drinks on specially designed coasters and be able to order from courtroom-style menus.

On flights on the iconic A380 aircraft, the airline serves sports-inspired food and drinks in all cabin classes as well as to passengers meeting in the onboard lounge. Basketball fans can also watch select Emirates NBA Cup matches live on Sport24 on Ice, Emirates’ in-flight entertainment system. Before flights, customers can also enjoy a limited-time NBA-themed menu at Emirates lounges in Dubai, New York JFK, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Boston.
