Alec Baldwin returns to “SNL” for the first time since the judge dismissed his involuntary manslaughter case on “Rust.”

Alec Baldwin made his first appearance on Saturday Night Live since his involuntary manslaughter charges were dropped in the fatal “Rust” shooting.

The 17-time host returned for the fourth episode of SNL’s 50th anniversary season — portraying Fox’s Brett Baier in the show’s cold open.

Baldwin’s makeup mug was the first thing shown on the screen, and the live audience screamed, not sure whether to applaud or gasp.

The scene-stealer Schweddy Balls played the Fox News personality alongside SNL alum Maya Rudolph, who portrayed Vice President Kamala Harris.

Baldwin’s Baier repeatedly interrupted Rudolph’s Harris and repeated criticisms of the interview that suggested the moderator was sensitive to the candidate’s answers.

Alec even chimed in with the cold open’s punch line – “Live from New York, it’s Saturday night!” According to the Saturday Night Network, this is the forty-fifth time Baldwin has said that line. This puts him fifth all-time in this category.

Baldwin appeared in an episode of the series last season after handing over his Trump duties to cast member James Austin Johnson following the incident on the set of “Rust” in 2021.

Saturday’s episode was hosted by “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” actor Michael Keaton with musical guest Billie Eilish.
