Sofia Richie Grainge wore this bold color trend on the red carpet

Like many fashion people, Sofia Richie Grainge tends to opt for black looks when she needs to dress up. For example, at Khaite’s show at New York Fashion Week in February, she wore a floor-length black dress and coat. When she attended the Grammys with her husband Elliot Grainge earlier this month, she once again wore black in the form of a slightly sheer, high-neck dress by Saint Laurent. Last year’s Baby2Baby Gala, Prada Beauty’s Brooklyn launch party and her fashion The new mother also wore her favorite neutral fashion attire for the pregnancy announcement.

However, the Academy Museum’s fourth annual gala tonight told a different story. For the event, Richie Grainge ditched her usual color choices for something far more daring and unusual for her: a bright red silk dress from Fendi’s Spring ’24 collection. She wore the high-necked, loose-fitting dress with a black clutch and black open-toe mules. She wore her hair in her signature slicked-back bun.

Richie Grainge’s sister, Nicole Richie, was also in attendance at the gala this evening and also opted for an eye-catching color for the occasion. Richie, who is currently filming the reboot of her and Paris Hilton’s cult reality TV show The simple lifeShe chose a butter yellow, low-cut Rochas dress from the brand’s Resort ’25 collection.
