Women’s Swimming and Diving Posts Six Pool Records, Downs Dolphins, 152-85


SYRACUSE, NY – The St. Bonaventure women’s swimming and diving team recorded its first doubleheader of the year in dominant fashion over Le Moyne on Saturday afternoon. The Bonnies took first place in every event and posted a team score of 152-85.

St. Bonaventure also set six pool records at the Rev. Vincent B. Ryan, SJ Pool.

Bona’s 200 medley relay was the first to set a new pool record with a time of 1:47.72 Daciana Colon, Sarah González, Hall MyersAnd Ellie Kraus.

Second semester Anna Bojana Forjans She set a new fastest pool time with a time of 2:09.78, securing her victory in the event. She also scored a win and a pool record in the 100-meter backstroke (58.09).

Myers delivered another outstanding match for the Bonnies, recording an individual win in the 100 free with a time of 52.54, breaking the fastest pool time to date.

The Erie, Pennsylvania native also set the pool record in the 50 free relay with her split in the 200 free relay of 23.90. Their efforts helped the relay achieve a pool best time of 1:37.25 with Bojana Forjan, Amy O’Rourkeand Kraus.

Kraus secured a win in the 200 free (1:57.53), while O’Rourke took first place in the 50 free (24.81).

Freshmen Phoebe McClaren And Alessandra Haas Ren finished the 200-meter run for St. Bonaventure with a podium finish. McClaren also secured a win in the 1,000 free with a time of 10:35.72.

Two second-place finishes in the 50 and 100 free by freshman Hana Wiencowski contributed to the Bona score.

Additional victories for St. Bonaventure came in the 500 free Kathryn Beyerthe 100 fly of Nele Vetter and the 100 breasts off Sarah González.
