Ngannou vs. Ferreira took place on October 19 at Mayadeen in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Francis Ngannou (18-3) and Renan Ferreira (13-4, 3 no contests) faced off in the main event of the PFL. The fight was broadcast live on pay-per-view on DAZN and ESPN+.

Round 1

Dan Miragliotta is the third man in the cage for the main event.

Big leg kick from Ngannou to start. Ferreira lets Ngannou feel one and Ngannou catches him with another. Ferreira keeps his hands down and challenges Ngannou to throw first. Ngannou dodges a punch and lands a nice takedown.

Ngannou is patient at the front but Ferreira stays busy. He throws his big legs up for a triangle attempt. Ngannou lands a few punches and clears his head. On the ground-and-pound from “The Predator,” it doesn’t look like he’s lost a step. Still early, though.

Heavy shots and Ferreira doesn’t defend. It looked like there were a few on the back of the head, but that doesn’t matter since Ferreira is OUT. Miragliotta arrived a little late after the break there.
