Men’s tennis competition comes to an end at the ITA Texas Regional

WACO – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men’s tennis team completed competition at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Texas Regional on Saturday in Waco.

UTRGV’s sophomore doubles team Santiago Serrano and freshmen Eduardo Menezes ended the weekend with a solid 8-4 win over the Texas duo Calvin Wang/Rahul Sachdev. Redshirt junior Sam Whitehead clinched his third individual win of the weekend with his loss Miguel Alonso of UTSA, 6-4, 6-3.

UTRGV will be back in action for the inaugural Southland Conference Fall Championship in Hammond, Louisiana, October 25-27.
