No. 1 Texas Longhorns vs. No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs: Live in-game updates

AUSTIN – The No. 1 Texas Longhorns will face the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday night at Daryl K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in one of the most anticipated games of the college football season.

The Longhorns come into the game looking to prove to the nation that they are worthy of their No. 1 ranking. In the meantime, the Bulldogs head to Austin hoping to make a statement and show the college football world that the national title is still with Athens.

On paper, the Longhorns have the advantage in almost every category on both sides of the ball, while the Bulldogs boast arguably the best passer in the country in Carson Beck.

However, Texas has its own elite QB in Quinn Ewers, who returned in a 34-3 win over Oklahoma last week. Like Beck, Ewers has the experience and talent necessary to be considered for the No. 1 overall pick in next spring’s NFL Draft and hopes to show the world he’s ready for the biggest stretch of the regular season of his Career ready.

So can the Longhorns defend their home field in prime time and hold off a must-win Georgia team?
