One dead after shooting at Clovis home

CLOVIS, Calif. (FOX26) — UPDATE: Clovis police say a woman has died, apparently from a gunshot wound.

It is unclear where and how often the woman was shot.

CPD says the area will be closed for at least the next few hours.

It is not known who shot the woman and where the shooter is now.

CPD says it appears many people lived in the home.

According to police, a large police presence closed streets in Clovis.

According to CPD, Clovis Police, EMS and Clovis Fire responded to a domestic violence incident in the 3800 block of Hampton Way near Ashlan and Leonard on Saturday morning.

Family members of the victim were also at the crime scene.

Roads near the location are closed and CPD continues to search for the suspect.

A person at the scene said a woman was shot, but Clovis police have not confirmed this.

Clovis PD says it was a shooting with at least two young children in the home at the time.
