Osceola Magic fan favorite Mac McClung receives two-way NBA contract

Mac McClung, the point guard who earned NBA G-League MVP honors last season for the Osceola Magic, has been named a two-way player on a converted contract, the Orlando Magic announced Saturday.

That means McClung, who won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest on two consecutive NBA All-Star Weekends, can move freely into the Orlando squad from game to game.

McClung was signed by Orlando in September before the NBA preseason and scored eight points in 15 minutes of play in two preseason games. Last season with the Osceola Magic, McClung played in 27 games and led the G League with a points per game average of 25.7.

He joins Trevelin Queen as a two-way player. Queen spent last season as a dual player, splitting the year between Osceola and Orlando. He played in 14 games for NBA Orlando Magic and averaged 11.8 minutes per game.

The Orlando Magic open the NBA season on Wednesday in Miami against the Heat. The Osceola Magic open the season on November 8th at Silver Spurs Arena against the Austin Spurs.
