Bruins play in Utah for the first time

The Bruins will look to win their second straight game when they play Utah HC for the first time on Saturday at St. Lake City’s Delta Center (9 p.m.).

After the morning skate, coach Jim Montgomery said there would be lineup changes in the forward group, but wouldn’t reveal them after the skate. However, in practice on Friday, he alternated Justin Brazeau on the right wing on the Brad Marchand-Charlie Coyle line, while Morgan Geekie and Trent Frederic flanked center Matt Poitras. We’ll see if these lines hold up. Geekie and Brazeau were left out of Wednesday’s win in Colorado.

Utah HC (3-1-1) appears to be playing with renewed energy since arriving from Arizona, and Montgomery, who played a few seasons with the Utah Grizzlies of the AHL, said there is a palpable vibe in town.

“We were all very impressed with how much people are talking about hockey and how excited they are. We found that there is a hustle and bustle and a lively energy downtown. It’s very exciting for the league and for them,” Montgomery said.

Jeremy Swayman is expected to face Connor Ingram in goal in Utah.

This is the second of three Western Swing games the B’s will complete on Tuesday in Nashville.
