SuperGaming’s Indus Battle Royale surpasses 1 million downloads on launch day

SuperGaming, the Indian game development studio, proudly announced that its new battle royale game Indus was downloaded more than a million times on iOS and Android platforms on the first day of its release. With an impressive 14 million pre-registrations ahead of launch, Indus quickly shot to the top of the free-to-play games charts on both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.

There was notable player engagement on launch day, with 80,349 games played and a total of 10,50,747 kills recorded. The game’s unique grudge system, which allows players to declare rivalries, recorded 2,01,217 grudges on the first day alone. Other gameplay highlights included 8,577 “Cosmium Clutches” and 34,680 melee weapon kills, with 158 kills coming with the Chappal, a melee weapon included in the game.

Roby John, CEO and co-founder of SuperGaming, explained that reaching one million downloads is a significant milestone, but this is just the beginning of their journey with Indus. John emphasized the studio’s commitment to improving the game in collaboration with its community, recognizing that there is always room for improvement.

Indus is now available to download for both iOS and Android. SuperGaming also unveiled its extensive esports roadmap, the “Clutch India Movement”. This initiative begins with the Indus International Tournament with a prize pool of Rs 2.5 million and aims to bring together top Indian and international teams across four phases of the tournament. In addition, a major tournament, the Indus International Mahasangram, is planned for October 2025.
