First round football playoff matchups for 8 players through Class 2A

The Iowa State Football Playoff begins Friday, October 25th for 8-player through Class 2A teams.

Format: First round games in 2A, 1A, A and 8P are determined individually. There will then be four pods of four teams each in the round of 16 for all classes, with the winners of those pods advancing to the state semifinals and finals at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.

Tickets: Tickets for the first round ($8), second round ($8) and quarterfinal games ($8) will be sold through the IHSAA ticket site using digital ticket sales through HomeTown Ticketing. Tickets for the semifinals and finals will be sold through UNI Athletics.

The qualifying rounds and RPI for 5A, 4A and 3A will be released on Friday, October 25th. The round of 16 matches for all classes will be published on Saturday, October 26th at 10 a.m.
