Viral video shows Hezbollah drone flying past an Israeli helicopter

A drone from Lebanon hit Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s private residence in Caesarea on Saturday. Now a video is going viral on the Internet that shows the drone flying past an Israeli helicopter.

A Twitter user named Iran Military (@IRIran_Military) posted the video on X with the words: “Hezbollah drone teases Israeli helicopter.”

It is not confirmed whether this is the same drone that blocked Netanyahu’s apartment.

The Israeli Defense Forces previously reported that they had intercepted two more drones that entered Israeli airspace from Lebanon.

A drone from Lebanon managed to evade radar detection by flying low and passing close to an Israeli helicopter. Unconfirmed social media posts suggested that this drone later hit Netanyahu’s residence. A joint video of the incident was released by the Times of Israel and the Iranian military.

The attack came in response to Israel’s recent assassinations of several top politicians Hamas leaderincluding Yahya Sinwar, whose death was confirmed by Hamas on Friday.

On Friday, Hezbollah announced plans to escalate tensions by deploying more guided missiles and explosive drones in Israel. This came after the death of their commander, Hassan Nasrallah, in an Israeli airstrike in late September, which led to Israeli ground troops being deployed to Lebanon this month.

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, expressed his condolences over Sinwar’s death. He stated: “I congratulate the family of Yahya #alSinwar, his comrades and all those committed to jihad in the path of God on the martyrdom of our brother Yahya al-Sinwar and express my condolences for this loss.”

In a series of tweets, he added: “As always, we will stand with the sincere Palestinian mujahideen and fighters.”
