Does Kedrick Bingley-Jones play? Final injury report for Bulldogs vs. Aggies

Mississippi State football hosts No. 14 Texas A&M in Starkville today with a chance for a big win in Jeff Lebby’s debut season. What is the status of some key Bulldogs ahead of today’s game?

Defensive line depth has been an issue for Mississippi State all season, and that won’t change against Texas A&M. Kalvin Dinkins is once again unavailable for the Bulldogs, and at this point we have to seriously question whether he will play for State again this season. Fellow DT Kedrick Bingley-Jones will also miss Saturday, although he has little chance of returning early in the week. The state remains defensively thin.

CB/S Brylan Lanier and safety Tyler Woodard were both questionable earlier in the week, but neither is listed on the latest injury report. Lanier claimed in a quickly deleted social media post that he suffered a concussion against Georgia that led to his controversial touchdown in Athens, but it appears he will be good to go against Texas A&M. Woodard also appears ready to return to action and give State more depth in the secondary.

Otherwise, there is no change for the Bulldogs on the depth chart. Apparently, QB Blake Shapen and WR Creed Whittemore are out for the year for different reasons. WR Trent Hudson, CB Traveon Wright and RB Keyvone Lee all remain out.

Texas A&M has struggled with injuries along the OL this year, but starting center TJ Shanahan will be back in the lineup on Saturday. Freshman WR Terry Bussey will likely play against Mississippi State. He had an outstanding performance against Mizzou, catching three passes for 76 yards. Those are the only current names of interest to the Aggies.
