“Barbarian” is a horror-thriller that takes the concept of a rental gone wrong to a frightening new level. The story begins when Tess (Georgina Campbell) arrives at a rental house in Detroit late at night to find it double-booked. A man named Keith (Bill Skarsgård) already lives there. Although Tess is initially cautious, she decides to stay the night.

What follows is a nightmare that Tess could never have imagined. The seemingly normal house reveals a dark and terrible secret lurking in its basement. The film transforms from a suspenseful, slow-paced crime thriller to a full-blown horror experience as Tess discovers hidden rooms and disturbing truths about the house and its history.

“The Purge” has to be one of the scariest horror films of all time. And no, there are no monsters or scary supernatural forces. It’s just about normal people…doing something very terrible things. This dystopian horror is set in a future America where all crime (including murder) is legal for one night each year. This annual event, known as “The Purge”, is sanctioned by the government to give citizens the opportunity to vent their pent-up anger and aggression, which is said to lead to a more peaceful and orderly society for the rest of the year .

The film centers on James Sandin (Ethan Hawke), a wealthy home security salesman, and his family, who plan to spend the night safely in their fortified home. However, her safety is threatened when her son Charlie (Max Burkholder) lets in a wounded stranger, attracting the attention of a masked group of violent Purge officers who demand the man’s surrender. As tensions rise, the family is forced to face the moral dilemma of protecting the stranger or saving themselves, while trying to survive the brutal threats of the Purgers outside.

“Ready or Not” (2019)

Now is the perfect time to watch Ready or Not on the streamer, especially since a sequel is currently in the works (and I’m very excited about it). The film’s unique premise and mix of horror and comedy have gained a strong following, making it an excellent choice for a Halloween viewing or movie night with friends.

This horror thriller follows Grace (Samara Weaving), a young bride who marries into a wealthy family with a strange tradition. On the night of her wedding, she discovers that her new in-laws have a ritual of playing a deadly game. Grace must survive the night while hunted by her new family members, who believe they will face dire consequences if they don’t sacrifice her. There are several clever twists and satirical moments that keep the tension high and the stakes even higher.

“Mr. “Crocket” is one of them Hulu’s latest releases that I’ve watched recentlyand it turned out to be a breathtaking, exhilarating ride. I went in with low expectations, but to my surprise it delivered just the right amount of horror – perfect for getting into the Halloween spirit.

This horror film centers on the sinister 1993 children’s show host Mr. Crocket (Elvis Nolasco), who horrifically emerges from the television screen to kidnap children while cruelly targeting their abusive or neglectful parents . The story centers on Summer (Jerrika Hinton), a grieving mother struggling to reconnect with her son Major (Ayden Gavin) after the death of his father. When their emotional distance catches Mr. Crocket’s attention, he kidnaps Major into his twisted realm. The film follows Summer’s relentless and terrifying journey to rescue her son from the clutches of the sinister entertainer before it’s too late.
