iPhone 17 air leaks reveal slim design, A19 chip, 48MP camera, 6.6-inch display: all the details here

There are several leaks about the design, display, camera and chipset details that raise expectations for Apple’s flagship release: iPhone 17 Air. Tech analyst Jeff Pu explains that the Release of the iPhone 17 Air should be shown at the iPhone event next year. Aside from the differences in A16 chip support, it’s likely that this device will have a new structure and a 6.6-inch display – perhaps even powered by the A19 chip. With these emerging changes, Apple can replace the Plus models from the iPhone 17 series onwards. The slimmest designs Apple has ever had are also available on the new iPhone 17 Air.

The alleged design of the iPhone 17 Air supposedly follows Apple’s trend towards minimalist and slim facets. The device will likely feature a titanium frame, which is lightweight and sturdier. By optimizing some components, the redesign has the possibility of a thin profile. New color options such as earth tones are added to give the product a classy look.

Leaks suggest that this version of the iPhone 17 Air features a 6.6-inch Super Retina XDR OLED panel with much deeper blacks and vibrant colors, making the screen noticeably more active. Other hotly rumored changes include an increase in refresh rate to 120Hz, so scrolling through things and the overall responsiveness of the screen would feel much smoother. The new technology will potentially feature Face ID under the display, meaning the notch on the front of the phone may disappear.

The iPhone 17 Air will also feature a 48-megapixel main sensor with significantly better low-light performance and even more dynamic range. A new periscope lens can enable great optical zoom, perhaps at the level of traditional cameras or even beyond. If that’s the case, then photography enthusiasts are well represented.

Improvements can also be expected in the selfie camera with the 24 megapixel sensor for better and higher quality self-portrait shots. It would come with the chipset from last year’s model, which has really fast processors.

The iPhone 17 Air is said to be powered by a developed A19 chip, which is manufactured using the same 3nm process as the A18 chip, but still offers significant efficiency and performance improvements. Improvements intended to strengthen the chip compared to a previous generation of products are planned for multitasking and gaming as well as machine learning functions.
