Each team’s projected starting lineup for opening night

With the 2024-24 NBA season on the horizon, take a look at each team’s projected opening night starting lineup.

The regular season is just days away and it’s officially time to begin the 2024-25 NBA season. NBA Opening Night is scheduled for Tuesday, October 23rd. As attention shifts to the game on the court, we look at each team’s projected starting lineup for opening night.

Projected starting lineup: Trae Young, Dyson Daniels, DeAndre Hunter, Jalen Johnson, Clint Capela

Based on what we saw from the Atlanta Hawks in the preseason, this is a good prediction of the starting lineup we can expect for the team on opening night. Trae Young, Jalen Johnson and Clint Capela are pretty much stuck in their starting spots. As the season progresses, we could see Bogdan Bogdanovic in talks to replace Daniels at some point, and if Zaccharie Risacher, the team’s No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, actually proves to be a reliable contributor this season, he was eventually able to replace Hunter at the small forward position.

In any case, this is an incredibly important season for this team. It will be interesting to see how everything develops.

Projected starting lineup: Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford

There isn’t much to say about the Boston Celtics. This is a team that knows who and what to expect at the start of the season. Even without a healthy Kristaps Porzingis to start the season, the Celtics will be a handful in the Eastern Conference.

On paper, they have the most talented starting lineup in the league. And that will be even more the case when KP is healthy again.
