Paris Motor Show 2024: Renault celebrates R4 E-Tech and electromobility

This assorted collection of contemporary transportation pays homage to all things French and whimsical. “4 Movements” is a project put together by creative agency TheArsenale in honor of the launch of the new Renault 4 E-Tech, first seen at the 2024 Paris Motor Show.

TheArsenale, founded by Patrice Meignan, curated a collection of four transport start-ups, all of which embody and embrace the timeless, robust style that Renault hopes to have embodied in the R4. “4 Movements represents everything we believe in at TheArsenale – pushing boundaries, honoring heritage and reimagining what mobility can be,” says Meignan.

The project follows on from a previous collaboration called “5 Movements”, launched on the occasion of the launch of the Renault 5 E-Tech, and shows that the company is experiencing something of a renaissance, both in terms of internal design and creative collaboration (We particularly liked the Renault 17 Restomod designed by Ora-ïto from the beginning of 2024.

The four companies represent air, sea and water well, and each design has been finished in the Cloud Blue color, first used on the original Renault 4 when it was introduced in 1962. Lighting and materials will also be influenced by the new electric vehicle. “We are proud to partner with four French start-ups introducing four fully electric means of mobility,” says Arnaud Belloni, Global Chief Marketing Officer of Renault. “It’s a stylish way to show the general public how e-mobility has evolved into all modes of transport.”

The caravan was designed by Carapate Aventure from Nantes and is based on the teardrop-shaped American-style travel trailer. The tiny 560kg caravan is ultra-light, offers space for two people and can easily be towed by an electric vehicle. An indoor-outdoor kitchen and convertible interior space come standard.
