What time and channel is Iowa playing today? The Hawkeyes want to get going

The Iowa Hawkeyes will face Michigan State in East Lansing for the first time in 2017. The Hawkeyes haven’t beaten the Spartans since their last trip to East Lansing, and after a big win over Washington in Week 7, they’ll be hoping to keep things going.

The offense is running better than it has in many seasons, and a big part of that is thanks to the play of running back Kaleb Johnson and the playmaking of offensive coordinator Tim Lester. Head coach Kirk Ferentz brought Lester in to take over and call plays in the offseason after relieving his son Brian Ferentz of the job.

Quarterback Cade McNamara didn’t play quite as well as fans would have liked, throwing his first touchdown pass since Week 1 against Washington and his first touchdown pass against a power conference opponent since 2021. Even though the quarterback game wasn’t great, the Hawkeyes have found new life on offense through Johnson with 12 total touchdowns this season and have the second-most rushing yards by a running back so far this season.

Playtime

Iowa and Michigan State begin at 6:30 p.m. CT and 7:30 p.m. EST. This is Iowa’s first late-game start since the game against Minnesota three weeks ago and just their second late-night game this season.

TV station information

Iowa will be on NBC for the second time this season. This game will be broadcast on NBC, which is carried by all major cable networks. Fans can also watch the game via stream on Peacocks and the NBC Sports app, available on all mobile devices. The game can also be streamed live on FuboTV with a subscription.

If fans can’t watch the game on television, they can always watch it live with play-by-play and color commentary on the Hawkeye Radio Network.
