Arkansas Edge unveils fundraising program for Razorback athletes

Arkansas EdgeThe Arkansas Razorbacks Name, Image and Likeness Group (NIL), has launched the “Spare Change Round Up” program, allowing people to round up their purchases to benefit Razorbacks student-athletes, according to a message Friday (Oct. 18). to support release.

Anyone who signs up can automatically link their debit cards, credit cards or checking accounts Contribute small change from their purchases to NIL initiatives.

“Fans have expressed a desire to round up purchases to support NIL opportunities, and we are pleased to introduce the Spare Change Round Up program,” said Kyle May, executive director of Arkansas Edge. “This scalable and effortless approach allows fans to easily participate and choose how much they want to donate, without the need for individual programs for each merchant and regardless of where they bank or live.”

According to the press release, people can sign up “in minutes” by connecting their card or bank account. Once enrolled, all purchases will be rounded up to the nearest dollar, plus change from each weekly total. If the total amount exceeds $10, that amount will be deducted from the participant’s selected payment account and sent to Arkansas Edge. If it is less than $10, it will roll over to the next week. Participants can also double to quintuple their contributions, set weekly limits, switch accounts, and pause the program.

Arkansas-based fundraising platform SmartChange supports the program.

“As an Arkansas-based company, we are excited to partner with Arkansas Edge to launch the Spare Change Round Up program for Razorback fans,” said Becky Pittman, co-founder of SmartChange. “Our platform is designed to meet the needs of fundraisers and their supporters, making it easy for fans to make an impact while rounding up their purchases to support NIL opportunities.”

Attendees receive benefits such as discounts on Arkansas Edge and partner merchandise, invitations to members-only events and giveaways, and a quarterly newsletter. Anyone who registers by Wednesday (October 23) at noon will have a chance to win prizes such as tickets to the Razorbacks basketball exhibition game against Kansas on October 25 or tickets to Big Red’s football Razorbacks game against Ole Miss on November 2nd.
