‘We Live in Time’ stars Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh talk about producing new romantic drama – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

We could all use a good shout out every now and then, and if you’re looking to let it all out this weekend, grab some tissues because Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh are going to make you cry in their new romantic drama.

Florence Pugh (as Almut): “Your father and I want something.”

Andrew Garfield (as Tobias): “Your mom and I want something – we want to talk to you.”

Some on-screen romances begin with a meet-cute.

Character in “We Live in Time”: “We’ll make sure you have the time of your life.”

Florence Pugh (as Almut): “Hello.”

Andrew Garfield (as Tobias): “Hello. “

But in Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh’s new film “We Live in Time,” “Smite” comes before “Smitten.”

A bit as if the filming of this film took place before Florence’s vacation.

Florence Pugh: “Originally I wanted to take a break and have some time for myself, and no, no, no. no no no. And when I read it I thought, ‘Well, obviously there are other plans.'”

The film explores the relationship between a chef and a recently divorced woman over the course of 10 years… through all the ups and downs, in sickness and in health.

Florence Pugh: “I somehow couldn’t believe that I would be able to make one of these films – a film about really, really pure love – and of course with my own accent and as a young couple from London. ”

Speaking of love, Andrew has a lot of love for Flo.

Andrew Garfield: “Florence’s unique talent is unmatched and her power – as a performer, as an actress, as a person – is completely unique. And to get the chance to dance with that and experience that in such an intimate story felt like a privilege.”

And the admiration is definitely mutual.

Florence Pugh: “The fact that he was on board and knew that I was going to do it with him, the chances that it would feel as magical as it read, I definitely felt like there was huge potential there, and “That was extremely exciting.”

Andrew Garfield (as Tobias): “I owe it to myself to look ahead, instead of right in front of me, at you.”

“We Live in Time” is now in cinemas.
