“Teen Witch’s Robyn Lively Says Sister Blake Would Rather Give Her a ‘Fan-Girl’

After 35 years, Teen witch Star Robyn Lively’s biggest fan might be her little sister.

To mark the iconic teen fantasy comedy’s milestone anniversary, the actress recalled how sister Blake Lively “fangirled for me” back in the day. Teen witch premiered in 1989 and she remains a “big” fan of the Dorian Walker-directed film.

“It’s a family favorite, but not in my immediate family,” Robyn told Jezebel. “My kids love it, but it’s different. To my younger siblings…Blake was and is a huge human being Teen witch Fan. Like she was fangirling over me.”

In true Stan fashion, Blake and husband Ryan Reynolds even recreated the film’s “Final Hour” dance sequence for their 2012 wedding.

Teen witch In the main role, Robyn plays high school nerd Louise Miller (Zelda Rubinstein), who learns from psychic Madame Serena that she has magical abilities that come into play when she turns 16. With her newfound powers, the teenager casts a spell to become popular and hot with athlete Brad (Dan Gauthier).

“It wasn’t just this cheesy movie. It’s helped people through really challenging times,” Robyn told Jezebel, adding: “I had no idea at the time that I was part of something that would ultimately – for some people – change their lives. I’ve had the most incredible conversations with people and to me this is why Teen witch is the most popular project I’ve ever done because of the people I’ve met and the stories I’ve heard.”

Although the film was considered a critical and commercial flop upon its debut Field of dreams And Pet cemetery in 1989, Teen witch has gained a cult following over the years.

Written by Robin Menken and Vernon Zimmerman, the film also starred Joshua John Miller, Mandy Ingber, Dick Sargent, Marcia Wallace and Noah Blake.
