The fantastic autumn continues with a warming trend

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – Fantastic fall weather continues into the weekend. Morning lows will be in the mid-upper 40s, while Saturday and Sunday highs will be in the mid-upper 70s. This will continue the gradual warm-up into next week. It’s a turnaround from last week as temperatures rise to and above average. Lows will return to the 50s while highs will rise from the lows into the upper 80s.

As the autumn cold eases, the dry period lasts even longer. With high pressure under control, no rain is in sight for the next seven days.

In the tropics, Invest 94L north of the Leeward Islands shows only a small 20% of development over the next 7 days. The system is disorganized and is expected to encounter wind shear as it moves west toward Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

Further west in the Western Caribbean, there is a high 70% chance of developing Potential Tropical Cyclone (PTC) Fifteen as it heads towards the Yucatan Peninsula. This weekend it is likely to become a tropical depression or storm (Nadine), producing heavy rain over parts of Central America and Puerto Rico. Both systems stay out of the lower 48.

We are at the end of hurricane season, with about a month and a half left until the official end on November 30th.
