A golf tournament helps raise money and awareness for Isaiah 117 House

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. – The nonprofit Isaiah 117 House hosted a golf tournament Friday.

The event was held at the Humboldt Golf and Country Club and raised awareness and donations for the Isaiah 117 Houses in Gibson, Dyer and Crockett Counties. Participants enjoyed lunch at 12 p.m., followed by tee-off at 1 p.m

Isaiah 117 House is a nonprofit organization that provides physical and emotional support to children awaiting foster care in a safe and loving home.

“This is our first golf tournament and the response has been amazing. We have been truly overwhelmed and blessed by the response we have received to this event,” said Bethany Luckey, Care Coordinator.

Currently, if a child is removed in a county without an Isaiah 117 home, the child must wait at the Child Protective Services office.

The Isaiah 117 House allows this child to never go to an office, but to a home with loving volunteers to care for them.
