PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – During the week of October 7, 2024 through October 13, 2024, Calvert County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to 1,848 calls for assistance throughout the community, including, but not limited to:

  • Check welfare/mental health: 56
  • Disordered: 13
  • Domestic workers: 27
  • Motor vehicle accidents: 45
  • Patrol checks / school checks: 885
  • Suspicious people/vehicles: 17
  • Traffic complaints: 74
  • 911 Hang up: 62
  • SOLIDIFICATIONS: 33

Damaged Property: 24-77924
On October 9, 2024, DFC Aley responded to Williams and Heintz Map Co. located at 5351 Ketch Road in Prince Frederick for a report of a theft from a vehicle. The complainant stated that sometime between 3:50 a.m. and 4:25 a.m. on October 3, one or more unknown suspects attempted to steal gasoline from the tank of one of the trucks on the property. During the attempted theft, the suspects damaged the vehicle’s gas tank. The estimated value of the damaged property is $1,000.00.

Disorderly Conduct: 24-77236
On October 7, 2024, Deputy Deinert responded to the Dunkin Donuts, 30 Old Field Lane in Prince Frederick, for a report of a disturbance. The individual, identified as Dustin John-Caleb Halfhill, 33, of Coos Bay, Oregon, was involved in an incident at the Holiday Inn Express earlier that day in which he threw a decorative pumpkin at a receptionist. Later, Halfhill entered the Dunkin Donuts and caused a disturbance by yelling at employees. When officers arrived, Halfhill was asked to leave the area but continued to yell and refuse to comply. Halfhill was taken to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged with disorderly conduct and failure to obey a reasonable/lawful order.

CDS Violation: 24-77287
On October 7, 2024, Deputy Campbell responded to a reported theft in Weis, 750 N. Prince Frederick Blvd. in Prince Frederick. The complainant reported that an unknown man attempted to steal a box of painkillers. When confronted by store employees, the suspect became agitated, began screaming and threw the drug across the store, nearly hitting another customer, before fleeing toward the town square. The suspect, identified as Dorian Lavant Dickerson, 21, of no fixed address, was later located at the Prince Frederick Library. During a search following his arrest, a Suboxone strip was found in his possession. Dickerson was taken to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged with Theft Less than $100.00, Disorderly Conduct and CDS: Possession, Not Cannabis.

Trespassing: 24-77409
On October 7, 2024, Deputy Hill responded to the Wawa at 305 Market Square Drive in Prince Frederick for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with Matthew Leo Greening, 36 years old, of no fixed address. Greening had previously been entered from the facility. Greening was taken to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged with trespassing on private property.
