Aldis Hodge in the first look at “Cross” gets the murderer to confess

Aldis Hodge’s Detective Alex Cross gets a ruthless serial killer to confess in the first look on Prime Video Cross Crime novel promoted at New York Comic Con on Friday.

In the season one clip, Cross questions a murder suspect, played by Ryan Eggold, who insists on not confessing even though the detective reveals he already has.

“‘Life is restless fever.’ Yes, I noticed that. It’s Macbeth, right?” Cross, who uses forensic psychology to solve crimes, tells the cornered suspect. “Well, good luck getting a conviction,” the suspect tells Cross, as his superiors and the district attorney on the other side of the interrogation room suddenly beam at another solved case.

The thriller, based on the characters from James Patterson’s best-selling Alex Cross book series, stars Hodges as a star detective in the Metro Police Department who delves into the minds of murderers and their victims to identify and ultimately catch killers.

In an earlier teaser trailer, Cross was forced into a deadly game in which he pursues a psychotic genius who uses a menacing mask and possibly more than one killer to stay one step ahead of his pursuing detective. In addition to Hodge, Cross The film stars Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford and Eggold.

The first season of Cross will air worldwide on Prime Video on November 14th. Ahead of the upcoming premiere, Prime Video has already renewed the series for a second season. Cross is created by showrunner and writer Ben Watkins, who will executive produce the series through his Blue Monday Productions banner.

Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, Craig Siebels, Patterson, Bill Robinson, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost also executive produce. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television.
