The Cornhuskers’ last national championship came in 2017, although the Big Ten program has lost in the national title game three times since then, coming as close to winning the sixth national championship in program history before falling just short.

Next up in Nebraska’s quest for the No. 6 seed is a Big Ten matchup against a Michigan State team that is 7-10 this season and has lost seven straight in this tough matchup against the Cornhuskers. The Spartans most recently lost 2-3 against Illinois.
