Look, I don’t know how to link an Instagram story, so instead I’ll just link to this Instagram post and say this: If you cared enough to click on this blog, you must care enough to click on his Profile to go and check out last night’s Instagram story after the game. The game in which he, our projected runner-up in the All-Star Cy Young race who has given up five runs in the last decade, gave up back-to-back jacks in the bottom of the eighth without recording an out to give up the lead.

A tough performance for Clase, there is no doubt about it. That makes it less bad for the fans because Cleveland still won the game, but in Clase’s head people are now questioning his ability after he blew not one but two games in these playoffs all year.

Everyone from Yankees fans to Dave Portnoy… wait, that’s the same thing… I’m digging up old tweets about Clevelanders saying he should be Cy Young. About Austin Hedges saying he’s better than Mariano Rivera. I just fell for the guy. And his answer? He took to his Instagram account and wrote a story that said, “We’ll talk tomorrow” and posted all of his rings and trophies that he has won over the years.

Look, I have to call it like I see it. This is fucking lame. This makes me feel like LeBron is reminding everyone that he’s still rich and has a better life than them after losing to the Mavs in the NBA Finals. Don’t get me wrong, I still ride my boy Clase through every situation… and I hope he gets the ball again tonight… but this is strange. We all know you’re good, man. You are the best we have. You delivered a few bombs to two of the best hitters in baseball. Go ahead and be mad and demand the ball again tonight. But the “look at my trophies” is a tough move.
