Victoria’s Secret’s Barbara Palvin makes loafers with the no-pants trend – Footwear News

Barbara Palvin tries out the no pants trend in New York City. The model is in town for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which airs tonight. There she wore a seasonal leather bomber jacket and hot pants that sat high on her hips. She paired these short shorts with sheer tights and a pair of trendy loafer style heels.

Barbara Palvin is seen in Brooklyn on October 14, 2024 in New York City.

Palvin’s shoes are Magda Butrym’s silver rose slippers. They are made of black leather and are designed as classic loafers. They notably feature a silver rose detail on the front. This also includes a pointed toe area.

The flared heel is just over ten centimeters tall. The shoe currently sells for $1,130.

Loafer models have been trending across various brands in recent months. Earlier this year, the likes of Anya Taylor-Joy and Hunter Schafer were spotted wearing Maison Margiela’s Tabi penny loafer. Taylor-Joy wore them several times, including in New York City and in Monacco at the Formula 1 races. Just this weekend, Rose from girl group Blackpink was spotted in New York City wearing a pair of buttercream loafers. While these are heeled styles, brands like Thom Browne and Maison Margiela dress stars in their loafer-inspired heels with brogue detailing all year round.

Palvin will attend the Victoria’s Secret fashion show tonight, marking her return to the brand’s runway after six years. She previously said her look tonight was glittery and featured “very heavy” wings. She will hit the runway during Tyla’s performance.

In addition to Tyla, Cher will also appear on the runway in the brand’s first all-female lineup. Lisa, a rapper, will also perform. It airs at 7:00 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime and Victoria’s Secret Instagram, YouTube and TikTok accounts.
