Narcotics investigation leads to arrest of Wayne Co. man

WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – A Monticello man is facing charges stemming from an investigation in which police received complaints that he was allegedly selling meth.

The investigation was launched in August this year.

Wayne County Sheriff’s Office officials resumed the investigation when they received a complaint that Randall Hall II was allegedly riding a small motorcycle with methamphetamine.

Police noticed he was traveling on Fair Street in Monticello.

When police conducted a traffic stop, they told Hall they had pulled him over for a drug investigation.

Police then found a crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine in his pants pocket.

A police examination of the substance revealed a total weight of 6.93 grams.

A Wayne County District Court arrest warrant was subsequently obtained for Hall for first degree trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than or equal to two grams of methamphetamine).

Hall was arrested on a warrant Thursday around 10:45 p.m.

He was taken to the Wayne County Detention Center.
