The next generation is coming! Leaks, rumors and more

The Xiaomi 15 is expected to launch in China as part of Xiaomi’s flagship lineup, which will also include the Xiaomi 15 Pro and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. This upcoming model, a successor to the Xiaomi 14, is rumored to come with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which a tipster says could be renamed from the usual name Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Other expected features include a 120Hz AMOLED display and a Leica-tuned camera system.

Specifications of the Xiaomi 15 (expected)

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the Xiaomi 15 will likely come with a 6.36-inch flat AMOLED display that offers 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate – similar to the Xiaomi 14. Reports suggest it will so be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is expected to launch soon, possibly under a new naming convention.

Xiaomi 15 camera (expected)

The Xiaomi 15’s camera setup is expected to include a 50MP OV50H main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50MP 3.2x telephoto lens, all with Leica optics for improved image quality. Powering the device could be a 5,500mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

As for the software, the Xiaomi 15 is likely to run HyperOS 2.0 on top of Android 15. Rumor has it that it also has an IP68 rating, making it dust and water resistant.

Xiaomi 15 price (expected)

In terms of price, the Xiaomi 15 series could be more expensive due to improved components. For comparison, the Xiaomi 14 was priced at Rs. 69,999 in India, while the Ultra model sold for Rs. 99,999. Xiaomi 15 series prices are expected to increase by Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 7,000, and the Xiaomi 15 Pro may remain exclusive to the Chinese market.
