Bob GarverSpecial to Valley NewsHere’s a film that definitely exceeded expectations. The low-budget “Terrifier” franchise typically doesn’t make much money. The first film, released in 2016, grossed less than $1 million. The second, in the glorious horror year of 2022, was lucky enough to break the $10 million mark. Now comes a third entry, which not only grossed more than the other two films combined with $18 million on its opening weekend, but also took first place at the domestic box office. It’s not hard to see what happened here: “Terrifier 3.” sent out to capitalize on the evil clown dynamic sparked by “Joker: Folie à Deux” last weekend. It shouldn’t outdo the big blockbuster, just achieve a decent, perhaps second place. But the audience was thrilled
