Cillian Murphy’s return, plot and more

After the end of the BBC Peaky Blinders Fans wanted even more in 2022.

In June 2024, Netflix confirmed that a Peaky Blinders Film would happen with Cillian Murphy Reprising his role as Tommy Shelby.

“It seems like Tommy Shelby isn’t done with me yet…” Murphy shared in a statement at the time. “It is very pleasant to work with us Steven Knight And Tom Harper for the film adaptation of Peaky Blinders. This is something for the fans.”

While further details about the film are not yet available, it will be produced in collaboration with BBC Film. Knight, who created the series, is writing the script, while Harper will direct (as he did in the first season).

The original Peaky Blinders The series, which ran from 2013 to 2022, followed the exploits of the Peaky Blinders criminal gang in the immediate aftermath of the First World War. The show featured Murphy, Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle, Joe Cole and the late one Helen McCrory.
