Baltimore police are investigating a shooting in the Union Square neighborhood that occurred Wednesday night just before 11 p.m

According to a Shotspotter alert, at least 37 shots were fired near the corner of N. Calhoun Street and Baltimore Street.

Audio recordings provided by police indicated the shooting was a drive-by shooting.

According to a witness, a vehicle without its lights on stopped and started shooting.

Officers found two different types of bullet casings at the scene, suggesting there were two shooters or at least two firearms involved.

Baltimore police said no victims were found at the scene and there were no shooting victims at local hospitals on scene.

Last Wednesday, another drive-by shooting occurred just a block away on Hollins Street.

Fox45 obtained surveillance video of this shooting that shows the driver and passenger of one vehicle shooting at another vehicle.

Residents told Fox45 that the recent violence stemmed from an open-air drug market that had moved into the area.

Fox45 reached out to District 9 Councilman John Bullock last week following the shooting captured on video, as well as the most recent shooting.

We asked Bullock what he’s doing to address the concerns of the open-air drug market. We didn’t get an answer both times.
