St. John Paul II’s Caden Collier wins Game of the Week

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – There are three more games up for Game of the Week this week: St. John Paul II, Jefferson County and Brooks County, all with outstanding plays and big wins in the last week, but as usual, the scoreboard shows nothing. It doesn’t matter, your votes matter and they gave us a very worthy winner.

St. John Paul II received the most votes for the second time this year, earning bragging rights for Game of the Week, and this catch by Caden Collier earned all the votes.

The wide receiver went upfield to catch the ball, made the grab and stayed in the field for the touchdown. Collier, they call him the Sixer, said he knew he had it all, and the reaction of his teammates let him know they thought so too.

“They were like a good catch, a good catch,” he said. “They knew I caught the ball because I do it a lot, so they already knew I caught the ball. When the ball hit my hands, I knew I would have it. Our fan base is unique. I love Panther Nation. When it’s a big game, they come out and do their best and I love that.”
