The prominent sister of the accused murderer of Cash App founder Bob Lee takes the stand in the SF murder trial

Cash App founder Bob Lee’s murder trial continued Thursday in San Francisco as his accused killer’s glamorous, partisan sister made her long-awaited appearance on the witness stand.

Khazar Elyassnia, 38, was sworn in just after 2:30 p.m., and the socialite wore a $5,500 powder blue patterned Valentino Garavani dress, oversized white sunglasses with orange lenses and a $1,000 Valentino clutch -Dollar, exclusive photos from The Postshow.

“When did you find out your brother killed Bob Lee?” Prosecutors asked outside the gate about her brother Nima Momeni, 40, who was charged with the fatal knife attack in April 2023.

“My brother wasn’t the one who killed Bob,” she replied, according to San Francisco Standard reporter Jonah Owen Lamb.

Prosecutors then inquired about text messages Elyassnia allegedly sent to Momeni that revealed a strained relationship between the siblings, Lamb added.

“You’re scaring me,” were among the messages prosecutors read in the courtroom – text messages she claimed she didn’t remember sending.

However, Elyassnia said that she and her brother are close and that she “looks up to him” during her testimony.

“He’s always there for me, just as protective as any other brother,” she said, according to Lamb.

But sometimes, prosecutors alleged, his protectiveness infuriated her — like in February 2023, when Momeni reportedly contacted her drug dealer and asked him to stop selling her Xanax, according to a text exchange between the siblings.

The wealthy socialite also admitted to using cocaine, LSD, the date-rape drug GHB and laughing gas on April 3, the day before Lee’s murder, KTVU reported.

Questioning about the text messages continued, and Elyassnia claimed she was high when she sent a series of messages at 7:38 a.m. April 5, the morning after Lee’s death, Lamb reported.

Elyassnia testified that that day she constantly took Whip-Its given to her by Jeremy Boivin, who was allegedly Lee’s drug dealer, Lamb added.

“Yes, he bought me a tank of nitrous oxide,” she testified about Biovin, who she said came to her home shortly after Lee and Momeni left on April 4.

She claimed on the witness stand that Biovin had sexually abused her in the past but that they had not had sexual intercourse in the past year and a half.

When prosecutors asked why she invited him to her home even though she had told her brother he had sexually abused her, the defense objected, prompting both legal teams to address the judge, Lamb wrote.

As they continued the questioning, they asked bluntly: “Why did you invite Mr. Boivin to your apartment ten hours after you said you had been sexually assaulted?”

She explained that this was due to the hardships and abuse she experienced as a youth, which made it difficult for her to believe that anyone would actually harm her.

“Sometimes I go back to my abuser,” she admitted.

The prosecutor then questioned Elyassnia about a message she sent Momeni in which she appeared to ask what had happened to Lee.

She said she texted her brother, “I’m going to get to the bottom of this and find out what happened to Bob,” after a friend said the siblings were the last two to see the tech founder alive .

The prosecutor said she later texted Momeni, “I’ll ask or the police will,” but Elyassnia claimed she didn’t remember sending the message, Lamb reported.

“I spoke to the lawyer today about your overdose and attempted rape case,” Momeni responded, to which she replied, “Lol you stupid guy, Bob never touched me, no one did.”

She then said she had not been sexually abused but insisted she did not want to talk about what happened. She claimed the messages were “not the real me” and reiterated her claim that she was under the influence of multiple drugs during the exchange.

“I don’t normally threaten my brother with calling the police. I’m exaggerating and being dramatic, I may have said that, it’s possible,” Lamb wrote.

The prosecutor noted that the siblings did not communicate for three days following this exchange, which he said represented an anomaly in their communication patterns over the previous months.

Elyassnia, who was allegedly involved in an affair with murdered millionaire Lee, was a central figure in the explosive trial in which her brother is accused of stabbing the tech executive to defend his sister’s honor.

Lee and Elyassnia, who is married to a prominent plastic surgeon, reportedly shared a penchant for a glitzy underground party scene in San Francisco known as “The Lifestyle,” notorious for free-flowing drugs and casual sex.

On the night of the murder, Elyassnia and Lee had attended one of the rowdy gatherings, and Momeni became convinced that Lee had drugged and raped his sister, prosecutors alleged in opening arguments Monday.

This prompted Momeni to seek revenge on his sister’s behalf. Prosecutors alleged he brutally stabbed the Silicon Valley mogul in the early hours of April 4, 2023.

That night, 43-year-old Lee was found bleeding and begging for help at 2:30 a.m. in the heart of San Francisco, shortly after he was seen leaving Elyassnia’s swanky Millennium Tower home next to Momeni.

Momeni pleaded not guilty. His lawyers said he killed Lee in self-defense and claimed the tech founder was under the influence of drugs and tried to cut Momeni.
