NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) – Adams Middle School is taking a big step in community service to save lives through a partnership with the American Red Cross.

Working with Adams Middle School and the American Red Cross helped host a blood drive Thursday with donations to raise money for their art club.

Middle school art teacher Kayla DeSersa said these proceeds mean a lot to the club.

“We receive a small proceeds from incoming donors that are donated to our club,” DeSersa said.

Students had the opportunity to get involved and learn how their efforts to donate blood can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it.

“It’s really great for the kids to get out and work with our community members and those who enjoy public service,” DeSersa said.
