Dry days continue… Gradual warming trend ahead… Weather forecast update for Thursday

Good Thursday afternoon! It was a cool start to the day, with temperatures in the mid 30s in most areas. Some colder areas north of I-20 had a light frost, with many areas reporting light frost. This afternoon was beautiful. Temperatures climbed into the 60s, with some reaching 70 degrees south of Tuscaloosa.

Expect another cool night tonight. A freeze warning has been issued for areas generally north of Tuscaloosa. For areas outside the frost warning, widespread frost is unlikely, but localized frost cannot be ruled out.

On Friday the temperatures will be pleasantly warmer. Expect an afternoon high in the lower 70s. Skies will remain sunny on Friday and remain sunny over the weekend. The warming trend will continue Saturday as many areas will reach the upper 70s. There will be very similar weather on Sunday. Overnight lows will be cool over the weekend, with 40 degrees overnight.

There will be a bit of a warm-up next week. By Monday and Tuesday, most areas could reach the 80 degree mark.
