CM Punk and Justin Long star in the horror film Night Patrol

Justin Long, Jermaine Fowler and RJ Cyler star Night patrolan indie horror film from director and co-writer Ryan Prows.

David S. Goyer and Keith Levine are producing via the duo’s Phantom Four banner. Josh Goldbloom, known for his recent work, also serves as producer V/H/S Horror entries. James Harris and Mark Lane from Tea Shop Films (47 meters deep) are also producing the film, which wrapped filming this week in Los Angeles.

Dermot Mulroney and WWE superstar CM Punk play key roles, while Freddie Gibbs (Down with the king), YG (White boy Rick), Flying Lotus (ash) Jon Oswald (Lowlife) and Nicki Micheaux (Lowlife) round out the cast.

In Patrolan LAPD officer (Fowler), must put aside his differences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers that a local police task force is harboring a terrible secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects where he grew up.

Long plays the officer’s partner who is recruited to the night patrol as a legacy. Cyler plays the officer’s brother who sees what he’s not supposed to see, while Mulroney plays Long’s character’s grandfather, a sergeant with many secrets. Punk rounds out the cast as the sergeant’s brutal right-hand man.

Prows co-wrote the screenplay with Shaye Ogbonna (Fight night), Tim Cairo (Off the ramp) and Jake Gibson (He bled neon). The foursome previously worked together on the script for Prows’ directorial debut. Lowlifepublished by IFC Midnight in 2018. Patrol is Prows’ second feature.

“Audiences are not prepared for how hard this film is. Shooting this script with this cast on location in Los Angeles after such a long journey to get here is nothing short of a dream,” Prows said in a statement.

The film is scheduled to be released in 2025.

XYZ Films is executive producing and handling worldwide distribution, with financing from Bondit Media Capital. Executive producers for Bondit are Matthew Helderman, Luke Taylor and Grady Craig.

Fowler recently played a supporting role on “FX.” A murder at the end of the world and appeared alongside Zac Efron in the Prime comedy Ricky Stanicky. He is represented by UTA and Entertainment 360.

He recently starred in horror series for a long time Goose flesh for Disney+ and is represented by IAG.

Cyler’s recent film appearances include: The Book of Clarence And The harder they fall. The actor is represented by UTA and Entertainment 360.

Mulroney, represented by Paradigm, recently appeared in Scream VI as well as Marvel’s Secret invasion and earlier this year I took a detour to it Chicago fire.

Punk is one of the biggest names in wrestling, with his “feud” with fellow fighter Drew McIntyre being a major storyline on the circuit this year. He made his acting debut with Girl on the third floor in 2019. Punk is represented by Paradigm.
