Ann Rice’s Mayfair Witches Season 2 Premiere Date, First Photos

AMC’s “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches” will make its long-awaited return for its second season on January 5, 2025, the series’ cast and producers announced Thursday on the main stage at New York Comic Con. Then the show, which last aired in February 2023, will finally return on both AMC and AMC+, AMC Networks announced.

The NY Comic-Con panel included Mayfair Witches executive producer Mark Johnson and showrunner Esta Spalding, as well as cast members Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa and Alyssa Jirrels. The premiere of the second season was also shown in advance.

The show is part of what AMC calls its “Anne Rice Immortal Universe,” along with “Interview with the Vampire” and the upcoming “The Talamasca,” starring Elizabeth McGovern, Nicholas Denton and William Fichtner.

“Mayfair Witches” is based on Rice’s “Lives of the Mayfair Witches.” According to AMC, Season 2 “continues the journey of Rowan Mayfair (Alexandra Daddario) after she accidentally gives birth to the demon Lasher (Jack Huston). She is determined to understand what has become of him – human or monster? – and use it to fulfill her purpose as a healer, but when tragedy strikes, she must put her own desires aside and fight to protect her family.”

The series is executive produced by Mark Johnson, showrunner Esta Spalding, Tom Williams, Michelle Ashford, Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice and produced by AMC Studios. Here’s a first look at some photos from Mayfair Witches Season 2.
