It’s a wonderful time to visit Pine Grove Zoo in Little Falls

SMALL CASES (WJON News) – A popular seasonal event takes place in Little Falls on Saturday. Held at the Pine Grove Zoo, BooFest features a 64-foot obstacle course, an 18-foot inflatable slide and jump houses.

Zoo director Marnita Van Hoecke says people should plan ahead when they come:

“Even half an hour before opening time, the line can be over a block long, so we have two lines for tickets that are only available in advance. So getting your tickets in advance can save you time in line without having to worry about it.

Van Hoecke says many people come in costumes, the animals have themed toys to play with, and BooFest is a festive time for both staff and visitors:

“And then we just have fun decorations throughout the zoo, we have some kind of spooky Halloween music playing on our PA system, so it’s just an all around great atmosphere.”

According to Van Hoecke, BooFest is a combination of two other past events, ZooBoo and ZooFest, and is now one of their largest events.

BooFest is also a fundraiser for the zoo, with 100% of the proceeds going towards future improvements to the zoo. BooFest takes place on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and costs $8.00 to attend.
